Updated

What's on the site

  • ATP and WTA ratings for every player with recorded results, with recent form and current streaks.
  • A page for every player, listing each match from the past year and how it moved their rating.
  • Daily matches: the model's win chance for every match on the slate, compared with sportsbook odds where they're posted.
  • A preview page for every match, with the prediction, head-to-head record, recent form and common opponents. After the match, the page keeps the result.
  • Compare players: any two players side by side.

Where the numbers come from

Ratings are built from 143,976 completed professional match results. Every result moves a player's rating based on the opponent's strength, the score and how recent the match was. Match predictions compare the two players' strength and turn the gap into a win chance. The full method, including how odds are converted and how value plays are picked, is on the How It Works page.

The site updates every day with the latest results and the next day's matches.

Independence

Tennis Gauge isn't affiliated with the ATP, the WTA, the ITF or any sportsbook. It doesn't sell picks or take payment to feature players or matches. The model's numbers are published as they come out, including when they turn out wrong.
